Ingredients

Lavender Essential Oil – 3 drops

Roman Chamomile Essential Oil – 4 drops

Helichrysum Essential Oil – 4 drops

Peppermint Essential Oil – 4 drops

Marjoram Essential Oil – 3 drops

St. John’s Wort Oil / Tamanu Oil – 30 ml

Method

In a sterilized jar, combine all the ingredients and use as needed.

What’s with the Ingredients?

Lavender Essential Oil

You would have probably heard that Insomnia patients find welcome relief using Lavender leaves on their pillows, or probably using Lavender potpourris, or inhalation of Lavender using dispenser, etc. While it not a sedative, it does bring down anxiety, promotes relaxation and also calms the nerves. As a result, sleep issues are dealt with naturally.

As mentioned earlier, Lavender has a relaxing effect on the nervous system and thus helps in treating headaches associated with stress, tension or anxiety, migraines, emotional stress, nervous tension and depression.

The aroma is said to have a calming effect on the nervous system. Research proves Lavender essential oil does have a profound impact on the autonomic nervous system, probably why it helps with insomnia, irregular heart beat regulation and stress.

It promotes blood circulation and improves muscle strength. Regular use improves one’s immunity and the ability to fight antiviral and antibacterial diseases. It relieves aching muscles and helps with easing pain, due to analgesic properties. It is an excellent nerve tonic and helps soothe pain triggered due to nerve-related issues.

Roman Chamomile Essential Oil

Roman Chamomile is mild yet effective essential oil that combats anxiety and insomnia, thanks to the calming and relaxing properties. It is an excellent anti-inflammatory, a reason it is used to relieve pain, aches and sprains. It can also help with neuralgic pains, a reason we have added it to this blend! Helichrysum Essential Oil

Popularly dubbed as immortelle, it is said to have unparalleled regeneration and rejuvenation properties. It is a nervine, so helps calm nerves and relieve nerve pain. It is anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic, so helps relieve pain and inflammation. It is used to treat neuralgia and varicose veins in alternative medicine, a reason it is a great add-in for this blend. It is a mild anesthetic, thus aids with pain relief.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic, so helps relieve pain and spasms. It is a nervine, so helps relieve nerve pain and calms the agitated nerve. It is used for pain relief due to calcium antagonism presence, which helps with pain relief. Topical application relieves pain, reduces swelling and inflammation and promotes healing.

Marjoram Essential Oil

It is an analgesic, antispasmodic, sedative and nervine, which makes it an ideal addition to this blend. It helps with general pain relief and eases nerve pain.

St.John Wort’s Oil

Red color oil made by infusing St. Johns Wort flowers (Hypericum perforatum) in Olive Oil or other carrier oils; it is a great anti-inflammatory and promotes healing. It is particularly known for its nerve rejuvenation benefits and used to treat several nerve related problems including neuralgia.

You can also Tamanu Oil, which is quite pricey, but helps ease and relieve neuralgic pain. If you don’t get these two oils, feel free to use any Carrier Oil that you have available, or able to acquire.
